This work explores the defamiliarization and destabilization of familiar spaces. By engaging feelings associated with heterotopias that exist in the mind, the work gives agency to non-physical spaces. The inversion of a corner in existing architecture is an illusion created by the addition of an imitation corner. The geometric imitation is constructed of cardboard, covered in drywall compound, and painted with the wall paint to seamlessly integrate it into the space while maintaining a layer of falseness.
